Created by an adult hockey player who was sidelined for ten months after taking a hard shot off the ankle, a new piece of protective equipment was born.
Over the past few years there have been several prototypes but it wasn't until creator Tony Siragusa was playing with a Snapple cap that he had his "a-ha" moment on how to disperse the energy created by the puck hitting the skate.
